About the Event

This peer centered learning circle -- Sacred Rhythms: Embodied Ancestral Knowledge as Movement Medicine --- creates space for women and non-binary farmers, foresters, foragers, gardeners, earthworkers and soil sisters to explore the sacred connections between our bodies and the land through diasporic movements, to prevent and heal from the chronic injuries that farm labor and daily life creates in our bodies.

Through diasporic movement traditions, we'll relearn and expand our bodies' capacities for farm tasks as embodied practices that build strength, flexibility, and sustainability rather than break down our bodies.

Together we'll share injury prevention strategies, modified techniques, and ancestral movement wisdom while honoring our cyclical rhythms (moon, womb, seasons) and building collective care practices that let us farm for the long haul.

Special focus on how to do repetitive tasks effectively, along with Mindfulness meditation with music in an aromatic environment, Featuring Soul Chi, Tai Chi for fall prevention…
